20.5 Inch Briarwood and Elm Luxury Chess Board

Beautifully handcrafted in Italy. High grade Briarwood and Elm. 20.5 inch luxury board. 1.9 inch playing squares. Ideal for a king height of 3.25 to 3.75 inches. Handmade in Italy, this phenomenal looking Briarwood and Elm veneer chess board finished in an extra thick coating of quality lacquer. The Briarwood burl has amazing depth of grain with really seductive patterning that holds a number of different shades of colour. Rich yellows follow deep reds, follow rich red browns. The inlaid veneer squares are bordered with an elegant strip of Ebony that sections of the playing area from the edge. The underside of the board features a lacquered wooden veneer and has felting pads to protect surfaces underneath. The rich yellows and reds of this board best suit Ebony and Rosewood pieces with a king height of 3.25 to 3.75 inches.
