Large wooden folding chess board with the classic Staunton design chess men and inset chess piece storage – ideal for in the home or chess on the go. Created from mahogany and Siberian birch. Convenient bookend design. Internal storage for chess pieces. 19 inch (48.26 cms) board . 3.7 inch (9.4 cm) king. A large folding chess cabinet crafted from mahogany and Siberian birch giving a 19 inch board when opened but a convenient ‘bookend’ style when closed for easy storage. With its easy-read printed annotation down the sides, this large board accommodates the bulbous kings, standing just shy of tournament size at 3.7 inches, and their respective armies. The pieces are beautifully crafted from solid wood and finished into the easily recognisable Staunton design and enjoy their own individual compartments when not in play – negating the need for a separate storage box.
