Old English Black and Palisander Chess Set

The chessmen are classic Staunton and have hand turned and hand carved to exacting standards. The quality of the chessmen is extremely fine with extremely accurate carvings. Each piece has been carefully weighted in the base for perfect balance, something you will fully appreciate when you begin to move the pieces around the board. These chessmen are crafted from solid boxwood and are Ebonised, a process that creates a realistic ebony effect. These chessmen are supplied in branded packaging. The board has been selected from Europe’s premier manufacture of chess boards for its design, high gloss finish and see elegance. The wooden veneered border feature rich tones of reds and vivid grain with a magical contrast between the black Anegre and light maple squares.
