We believe the king is depicted by the Great Dane. He leads the pack along with his Spaniel queen. We identified the Pug as the Bishop, the Alsatian portrays the knight and little Westies pose as the pawns. Identifying the cats has proved more challenging and if you recognise any, we would love to hear from you. The cats army does not in anyway lose any of its sumptuous detailing. Both sides are adorned in beautifully ornate, aristocratic-style costumes with miniature castle as the castles pieces. These pieces are matched with a beautiful 15.75 inch walnut and maple board from Spain to give you a stunning chess set, however The Cats vs Dogs Chess Men are also available without the board. Either way, this is a perfect gift for any cat, dog or animal lover.
