The king stands an impressive 4.7 inches (120 mm) tall and the board measures 23.6 inches (60 cm) across. The pieces have been expertly crafted from solid rosewood and boxwood and felted on their bases with billiard cloth. Each piece is weighted for perfect balance. The knights in this set are particularly impressive and feature some very intricate carving. The style of the chessmen is a unique design that departs from the traditional Stanton sets.
