Windsor Ebony and Montgoy Palisander Chess Set

Classic Staunton design. Crafted from solid ebony. 3 inch (76 mm) king. Weighted for perfect balance. Bases covered with billiard cloth. Presented with a luxurious Montgoy Palisander board. Complete with a beautiful burl effect case. A classic chess set combination – beautifully elegant Windsor Series Chessmen in solid ebony and boxwood matched with our luxurious Montgoy Palisander and Maple Veneer Chess Board. The Windsor pieces are well proportioned and balanced. The are hand turned and finished with a natural polish. This Staunton design displays some of the classic characteristics of the original yet has a more contemporary feel. The woods of the chess board contrast nicely with the colour of the chessmen and the eggshell lacquer of the board improves the richness of grain and provides an element of protection. This chess set includes a burl effect chess piece case with a hinged lid.
